Mayor of Isa City, Kinya Hashimoto

Located in the northernmost part of Kagoshima Prefecture, our city is surrounded by clear streams, including the first-class Sendai River, and boasts a beautiful natural landscape that retains the original scenery of Japan. Known as "Kagoshima's Hokkaido," it has prospered primarily through agriculture, including rice cultivation and livestock farming, utilizing the pristine water supplied by its rich forest resources and significant temperature differences.

As you can see, there are many food cultures that are unique to this region, and all of them, such as shochu, Isa Rice, Black beef, Kurobuta Pork, and Kanayama green onions, are highly praised.

Among them, distilleries that have recently received the highest award, the "Governor's Award" at the Kagoshima Prefecture Shochu Contest, for two consecutive years, are attracting attention.

In addition, the city is proud of its stargazing, which has been ranked No. 1 in Japan five times in national star watching contests, and where you can fully enjoy the pristine nature.
In terms of culture, Isa is the hometown of significant figures such as Naoki Prize-winning writer and author of "Heaven and Earth" Chogoro Kaionji, author of the famous "Slam Dunk" Takehiko Inoue, and actor Takaaki Enoki.
I have set a large goal of making Isa the most attractive educational city in Japan by taking advantage of these characteristics, and am taking on the challenge every day.

For this reason, we sincerely welcome CAMPLIFIRE: ISA to our city, a camp based on the concept of ‘amplifying children's potential and igniting their hearts.’

Takahide Hayashi

For children to grow and become independent, it is essential for them to have a variety of vital experiences, not only positive such as through various achievements, but also negative experiences such as through conflicts and setbacks.

Societal changes have brought us to a place where children have less and less opportunities to experience such influences between each other in the playground known as The Great Outdoors - while opportunities for individual-centric experiences have increased, such as through video games and the internet.

In this context, participating in this camp as a nature experience can promote...

Education critic Naoki Ogi says that the future is the age of HQ (humanistic intelligence) from IQ, and that developing HQ for living in society requires original experiences using the five senses.

Since joining Hayashi Construction Co., Ltd., Takahide Hayashi has established, merged, closed, and transferred shares in Okuchi Kensetsu Kogyo Co., Ltd., Hayashi Shoji Co., Ltd., Hayashi Systems Corp., Central Hotel Yatsushiro, Geomax, Forestec, Hayashi no Mori Social Welfare Corporation, Hayashi Energy System and Group Home Chugen.

Hayashi currently manages three companies: Hayashi Shoji Co. Ltd., Hayashi Energy System, and Geomax Co., Ltd.
